The island of eternal spring

The Canary Islands are located in the Atlantic Ocean, about 1.400 km from the spanish mainland. To this group of islands belong: Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, La Gomera, La Palma and El Hierro. After Tenerife and Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria is the third largest island.

The even, warm climate throughout the year attracts around 4 million visitors to Gran Canaria every year. They are mainly distributed in the south of the Canary Island. From San Agustín to Playa del Inglés, Sonnenland, Maspalomas and Meloneras with its famous lighthouse.

With further areas like Puerto Rico, Arguineguin, Taurito, Playa de Amadores to Puerto de Mogán the main areas of tourism end. Gran Canaria has about 830.000 inhabitants. About 380.000 of them live in the capital of the island, Las Palmas, with the approx. 4 km long city beach of Las Canteras.
